SunDub is a multiracial, multigenerational, family-rooted reggae collective led by powerhouse vocalist Joanna Teters, whose smoky delivery rides over the band’s airtight rhythm section. Formed in 2013, the New York City–based group blends deep roots reggae with soul influences, delivering uplifting grooves and songs centered on social justice, resistance, and spirituality. Anchored by a core lineup of Finnegan Singer (guitar), Jose Lopez (guitar), Derrick Bourne (bass), Sidney Mills (vocals/keys formally of Steel Pulse), and siblings Joanna Teters (lead vocals) and Ben Teters (vocals/drums), SunDub has built a reputation for powerful live performances and collaborative recordings. Their three albums—Burden of Love (2019), Spirits Eat Music (2022), and Brooklyn Riddim (2025)—have reached millions of listeners worldwide. The band has collaborated with reggae luminaries including Peetah Morgan, Lutan Fyah, Sister Nancy, Easy Star All-Stars, Cas Haley, Scientist, Mo’Kalamity, and The Meditations, bringing a modern voice to reggae’s timeless pulse. As Daily Reggae wrote, Joanna Teters is “one of the best vocalists in reggae today.” Their new studio album is slated for release in May 2026 via Easy Star Records.

With their growing network of collaborators, a musician-rich Brooklyn scene to pull from, and the band’s enthusiasm and excitement for the project, the road ahead looks bright for SunDub.
— Live For Live Music
SunDub is creating summer sounds and hot jams for your dub club or your home dome. In the car or on the phone. At the beach with headphones.

The horn-centric, easy-to-listen-to track stays as strong as the original — not stripped of vocals, like so many dub tracks are prone to do. If there was ever an anthem for summertime right around the corner, this is it!
